Anne Frank's privacy.

A diary is something that you write your innermost thoughts in, because you don't expect anyone to read it. We published a young girls diary. I mean come on. That is rubbing salt in her wounds. She is being chased by Nazis and all these bad things happen to her, and then we publish her journal? How irate do you think she would be? Now, maybe she would be like me and write all of her ideas down online and post them for public knowledge. However, I doubt it. Let's be serious, she didn't have access to the Internet. Back then it would probably be incredible rude to read someone else's diary. So, I can't imagine anyone actually doing it.

  1. I can see your point; however, I think the point of publishing her diary was to gain perspective on what was occurring during this time period. It is an interesting read, but I agree that it does violate her privacy. Perhaps they could have edited out the 'romantic' thoughts and that would help avoid any embarrassment.

I'm glad to see you're still having at this!! :) Have you read Tim Foster's blogs? :)
