HP7P2 a.k.a Harry Potter The Deathly Hallows Part 2 was released this week. Facebook was in a frenzy! People are going nuts! End of a legacy they scream? Say it isn't so!
Well I "caught" this flick on the big screen, and I am here to say that it is a good movie, but I was surprised with some of the creative directions that the production team implemented. So, here is my review of the latest in the Potter craze.
Adam West did a phenomenal job as Severus Snape. I know when they first announced that he would be taking over for Alan Rickman, everyone was skeptical but I had faith! The investment in Adam West payed dividends larger than Adam West's Batman. There were times where it seemed that Adam had a hard time pulling off the image of being in the previous movies, but would the box offices lie? They are basically screaming that Adam West is a hit.
The next change that I thought was maybe a bit unnecessary and incredibly gutsy was allowing Lord Voldemort to kill Harry. I mean what if he would've decided last minute to not come back. Imagine him sitting on that train, riding off, muttering to himself "Screw those guys. They've been riding my coattail of fame for years now!"
The ending was well done. When they wake up 19 years later and realize that Harry was in a dream this whole time. He wakes up minutes after DiCarpio and Ellen Page had walked out. Successfully implanting an idea. Genius! Who would've thought that Inception 2 would require eight movies to get across.
Strangely enough, no one has seen J.K. Rowling since the film was released. There have been mobs sighted outside her living precincts almost every day since. What a Mad World.
*Very little of this review can be used as a reliable source. Please read it with that understanding. Also, if you have seen the movie think how hilarious these changes would be. I would die laughing as the angry fans scream and their anger boils with every passing minute. What a Mad World *
