Have you ever visited a smaller town in which they allowed parking in the middle of downtown streets? Why? I drive through these areas twice as cautious as usual. This thought process doesn't make sense. There has to be some odd statistics of accidents increasing due to this method of city zoning! Why! I drove down a street like this when 20 meters in front of me child appeared and were running without care! I agree that when running you should do it in a carefree manner, but this isn't the place! Okay, I prefer to run in streets. That is besides the point, they weren't running for training or health benefits. It was dangerous, and due to their inconvenient parking spot they were closer to traffic than they would've been if they had parked along a sidewalk.
The nerve of some city planners, or the nerve of some people who design the parking for down town areas!
