Daily Pickaxe #2

Just to give a quick rundown there are five people in this Minecraft world. Treeestan (Tristan), Dylandejong (Dylan), osky (Brian), Chuck (Chuck), Vkec (Steve), and Maxmillz23 (myself).

Recently on the server there has been a lot of expanding. Steve is expanding his never ending rollarcoaster with a complex system of caves. While Brian never seems to be online any more. The group worries about his mental health because it must be deteriorating due to a lack of Minecraft. The rest of the team has been continually working on the soccer field project in our free time. Needless to say there has been much progress. The field itself is done and goals are erected. This just leaves us with a small list of large things to accomplish.

  1. Put nets on the goals
  2. Start Seating
  3. Put up an Old Trafford sign

The group is still discussing options for netting.

The Daily Pickaxe #1

I am a huge soccer fan. Which is why the next big thing for me in the world of Minecraft is a decently to scale soccer field. Collaborating with me on this project are two good friends, Tristan and Dylan. We have hopes of making a Manchester United replica, but right now we are just focused on the field itself.

So, I logged on to Minecraft and today I was able to finish the outline of the field. We are using green wool for the grass and white wool for the lines. The field's dimensions are 120x75. So the area is huge. I was able to finish the outside lines, the 18 yd and 6yd lines. Next, the center lines and the opposite side 18yd and 6yd lines need done. I am just happy to have the outline done. Getting the field required a lot of counting and double counting which grows tiresome. Hopes are high, but the task itself is large indeed.

*Above is a picture from the side of the 18yd line. Beautiful view as the sun sets*

The Daily Pickaxe

As of recent I began playing Minecraft. That game is awesome. The world at your finger tips. If you haven't already heard of this new phenomena then I'll explain. Minecraft is a game where you have to survive. You craft tools using your resources and then it is up to you how to play the game. I see it as the ultimate sandbox game.

A vast number of people are playing this game and creating these magnificent buildings and structures. So, I decided to keep a little news article updating the world with news about my Minecraft adventures. This journal, of sorts, will be called, "The Daily Pickaxe."
